A simple classic step stool design. This is a convenient item to have around the house when you need to reach up high in those ever so crowded pantry cubboards. The choice of wood to use is up to you, but simple 3/4" pine boards from the local home center will work just fine. If you want to get fancy, pick up some white or red oak and stain it with a clear polyurethane.
Another great thing about this project is that it doesn't require a ton of expensive tools. The text description of the plan calls for a bunch of fancy tools, but I believe one could build this simply with hand tools.
